HALF-DAY MANUAL HANDLING TRAINING:

No matter what industry you’re in, manual handling is often unavoidable – whether it’s loading or unloading vehicles or lifting boxes in an office. So it’s important employees are fully trained in how to handle heavy objects and avoid any accidents or injuries. We strive to tailor this course to your industry, so you can get the most out of the day.

OBJECTIVES:

When delegates finish the course, they will be aware of the duties of both the employer and the employee under relevant legislation. They will also be able to recognise manual handling hazards and the harm they could cause. As well as this, they’ll know which steps to take when assessing risks associated with manual handling operations.

This half-day course is held by our experienced tutors.

• Manual handling risk assessment
• Controlling the risks
• Kinetic lifting techniques

ASSESSMENT / CERTIFICATION:

At the end of the course, delegates will be assessed using a multiple-choice exam paper. Once they pass, they’ll be awarded a QST certificate that’s valid for three years.
