WORKING AT HEIGHTS TRAINING:

If you’re required to work at height, it’s vital you’re aware of the risks and hazards that come
with it. So whether you’re a scaffolder, steelworker or if you oversee employees who work at
height, this course will tell you everything you need to know.

OBJECTIVES:

Delegates will gain awareness of the risks and hazards involved when carrying out work at height and also awareness of current legislation. This course will present delegates with the principles, best practice and equipment associated with working at height activities. Delegates will also learn how to minimise risk by planning their work effectively.

DURATION:

This half-day day course is held by our highly experienced tutors.

COURSE CONTENT:

  • Introduction to working at height
  • Working at heights legislation
  • Organising and planning working at height
  • Main risks
  • Types of access equipment and working platforms
  • Fall prevention
  • Components
  • Care maintenance and use of fall prevention equipment

ASSESSMENT / CERTIFICATE:

At the end of the course, delegates will be assessed using a multiple-choice exam paper. Once they pass, they’ll be awarded a QST certificate that’s valid for three years.
