DRHS Director’s Role for Health & Safety
SEATS Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme
The CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) was formed in order to support the British construction industry, specifically with training.
As they are an industry specific organisation they aim to:
- promote construction;
- ensure training standards and qualifications meet the needs of industry and;
- assist with ensuring that levy-paying firms are able to claim monies owed to them.
The CITB supports many different forms of training including the Site Safety Plus (SSP) suite of courses. These SSP courses are designed to provide delegates with the knowledge of current legislative requirements, as well as practical examples of how to apply them when working on site, provided by expert tutors.
Some SSP courses can help delegates to obtain a CSCS card in conjunction with the relevant NVQ, whilst others act as stepping stones to further qualifications such as the Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) to the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
