The Energy Skills and Utilities Register (EUSR) is an online register of training skills, for sectors of utilities and energy services. Quality Safety Training is delighted to offer the following EUSR courses, including Utility Excavations Cat 1 & 2, and Water Hygiene.

EUSR – CAT 1 and CAT 2
The combined EUSR CAT 1 & 2 course, covering both the location of utility services and safe digging practices.
EUSR CAT 1
The CAT 1 EUSR course is dedicated to providing best practices for locating utility services. It can be booked separately from the CAT 2 course.
EUSR CAT 2
EUSR CAT 2 is a day course designed to implement safe (digging) excavating practices. For clients working around telecommunications, this course compliments the CAT 1 course.
EUSR Excavator Banksman
Ensuring safety whilst operating excavation equipment is vital – this course covers the guidelines and procedures a Banksperson should follow when directing excavation equipment.
EUSR SHEA Telecommunications
This course uses 7 modules analysing workplace Health and Safety, as well as Highway Working and Excavations.
EUSR Water Hygiene
Required for all personnel working with, near or on the UK’s Water Supply. Available to complete online.
EUSR stands for the Energy & Utility Skills Register and is the online register of training skills for the energy and utilities sector and is part of the Energy & Utility Skills Group.
The Energy & Utility Skills Group collaborate with a range of organisations such as regulators, employers and stakeholders in order to support them with upskilling and training of those working or wishing to work in the energy and utilities sector.
The Energy & Utility Skills Group has schemes and programmes that qualify an individual for registration onto the Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) and include many industries such as drainage and sewers, gas and water to name but a few.
EUSR also works in partnership with the CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) for their SHEA (Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness) schemes, meaning that SHEA EUSR cards will be embossed with the CSCS logo.
