Who is EUSR

The Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) offers a user-friendly online database that effectively stores the training and skill records of energy and utilities industry professionals. EUSR training and assessment graduates have their achievements recorded on the platform, including any qualifications and authorisations they have obtained.

One individual could have multiple scheme registrations with varying expiry dates on their EUSR record. After completing registration, a unique EUSR ID number is assigned to each individual, and a photo ID card is issued to display current endorsements and expiry dates. As a subsidiary of the Energy & Utility Skills Group, EUSR is committed to providing a comprehensive and dependable resource for professionals in the energy and utilities industries.

Cable avoidance EUSR cat 1 Assessment and certification

In order to gauge the competence of our representatives, we have developed a collaborative exercise that tests their knowledge of potential workplace dangers. Following this, we will evaluate their aptitude by utilising specialised tools such as the CAT and genny to locate key services. Upon completing the necessary training and surpassing the required standards, participants will be issued an EUSR certification that will remain valid for a period of three years.

Who needs Cable avoidance EUSR cat 1?

The Cable avoidance EUSR cat  is an ideal programme for those who depend on utility maps, employ equipment for identifying underground services, or require familiarity with the risks associated with hitting underground services. This Cable avoidance EUSR cat 1 certification is an excellent tool for managers, supervisors, safety professionals and workers who are accountable for the operation of underground services detection equipment. Upon completion of this certification, individuals will be better equipped to manage the potential hazards that come with working with underground services, leading to a safer workplace for themselves and their colleagues.

What is an EUSR card?

If your profession is related to water, power, or gas, it is possible that you will need to acquire an EUSR card. This card is exclusively for utility workers and is an alternative to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card. Although the EUSR card grants access to construction sites, it is restricted to utility workers. Therefore, only individuals with the necessary expertise and qualifications are eligible to perform their job duties on these sites. After fulfilling the requisite training and surpassing the mandatory criteria, participants will receive a valid EUSR card that expires after three years.

How long is an EUSR card valid for?

the EUSR card only allows you to carry out your role as a utility worker. Whereas, the CSCS card is for those who need to carry out their role as a construction worker. CSCS cards are valid for five years, whereas EUSR cards can be valid for three to five years depending on the courses you complete.
