Devon’s Brand New NRSWA Street Works Centre
Quality Safety Training announces new, purpose-built NRSWA Street Works Centre!
The entire team at Quality Safety Training is delighted to announce our dedicated NRSWA Street Works Centre!
We’re thrilled that our centre designs have been approved by CABWI, and we will waste no time getting started – breaking ground in mid-December this year.
QST dedicates the development of our brand Centre to Regional Accessibility.
Conveniently located on the A38, our centre will make accredited Street Works training easy to access for all Operatives and Supervisors based in the South West.
This centre is the next step in our suite of training on Safer Road Works. We are proud to offer our on-location Street Works Facility, adjacent to our existing Training Hub, so that we can provide an all-in-one solution for all Practical units, as well as the Classroom based Re-assessments.
If you would like to learn more about our Street Works courses, CABWI, or what it takes to earn or refresh your Street Works certificate: please see our FAQ’s linked below.
Otherwise if you’re interested in learning more, our development timeline, or about any of the other courses we are able to offer – you can chat directly to our dedicated team of Safety Advisors on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram or Twitter.

“What are Street Works?”
Street Works refers to all work carried out on, or adjacent to, Public Highways (roads). The New Roads and Street Works Act, enacted in 1991, provides a standardised framework for the safe development of all road works in the UK.
“What is CABWI?”
Established in 1991, CABWI is one of the leading awarding organisations for the Street Works and Street Works Reassessment schemes – founded with the purpose of making all Operatives and Supervisors of Road Works safe in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act.
“Do I need my Street Works card?”
If you are working on or near a road, you must be appropriately trained to comply with the ‘Safety at Street Works’ code of practice. Completion of the Key Units of an accredited Street Works Assessment (such as the CABWI suite which we offer) is one of the easiest ways of meeting this requirement, and proving you are competent to work on these sites.
“Where can I get my Street Works card?”
You may be wondering, “Is there Street Works training available near me?”
We are proud to announce that our brand new centre makes it incredibly easy to access the training you need. We can offer all CABWI units nationwide, including both the highly sought after Unit 6: “Reinstatement in hot-lay bituminous materials” and Unit 8: “Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways”.
If you are based in the South West we can offer training on your doorstep – thanks to our brand new Practical Centre!
For training across the entire country, please get in touch to see what we can do for you.
“How long does a Street Works card last for?”
If you are worried about renewing your Street Works card down the line, it’s nice to know it is actually a much easier process than you might think.
Every new Street Works certificate will last for 5 years, at which point you will be able to renew your qualifications by sitting just a Classroom reassessment exam.
If you would like to refresh your practical skills and learn of any new best practices, you can opt to sit each Unit again should you wish.
If you are ready to book yourself or your delegates on to a Street Works course,
