1 DAY HEALTH & SAFETY COURSE
This course is for individuals who need a CSCS Labourers Card (Green Card) and for those entering the construction industry.
OBJECTIVES:
Delegates will learn essential health and safety skills across a range of areas, including how to spot and avoid hazards.
DURATION:
This one-day course will be held by our CITB-accredited trainers.
CITB 1 DAY COURSE CONTENT:
- General responsibilities
- Accident reporting and recording
- Health and welfare
- Manual handling
- Working at height
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Emergency procedures and first aid
- Fire prevention and control
- Electrical safety
- Hazardous substances
- Noise and vibration
- Site transport safety
- Excavations
- Confined spaces
- Safety signs and signals
ASSESSMENT/CERTIFICATE:
We will assess delegates’ knowledge by giving them a 25 multiple choice exam paper. The pass mark is 20/25 (80%). They are also expected to be interactive throughout the course. Upon successful completion of the exam, delegates will be awarded with a CITB certificate which is valid for five years.
After completing this training, as well as the CSCS Touch Screen test, delegates can apply for a CSCS Labourers Card.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Delegates must be competent in English at site supervisor level.
GRANTS:
Employers in the construction industry can apply for grants to put towards the cost of training.
