Those delegates that have never operated either a forward tipping dumper (FTD) or a ride on roller (ROR) will need to take a novice Forward Tipping Dumper and Ride on Roller course.
Objectives:
By completing both the FTD and ROR courses and exams together, this will save not only time but also money.
The novice Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) for forward tipping dumper and ride on roller will ensure that delegates will be able to use both forward tipping dumpers and ride on rollers safely and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
This novice forward tipping dumper and ride on roller course is 3 days in total which allows for 2 training days with tests on the third day.

What Does the Exam Consist of:
- Verbal theory test
- Practical assessment
Prerequisites:
- Delegates must have completed the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment touch screen test within the last 2 years
- A good understanding of health and safety on construction sites
What Card Will I Get:
Delegates that successfully pass both the theory and practical elements of the exams will receive a red CPCS Trained Operator card that remains valid for 2 years.
During the course of the 2 years that the card is valid for, delegates must get practical on-site experience as well as completed a level 2 NVQ in forward tipping dumper and ride on roller.
