Who is EUSR?
The Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) is an innovative web-based platform that compiles the training and skills records of energy and utilities industry professionals. EUSR is a one-stop-shop for individuals who have completed EUSR training and/or assessment on any of our programs. These programs include qualifications, certifications, and authorisations that are documented on their EUSR registration.
The registration contains multiple scheme registrations with varying expiry dates, making it easier for individuals to manage their records. Upon completion of registration, individuals are issued with a unique EUSR ID number and a photo ID card displaying their current endorsements and expiry dates. As a member of the Energy & Utility Skills Group, EUSR is dedicated to providing a comprehensive and dependable resource for professionals in the energy and utilities industries.

Once our delegates have completed their training and surpassed the necessary criteria, they will be issued an EUSR card that will remain valid for a period of three years.
Who Needs a EUSR Category 2 Card
If you are someone who frequently works with utility drawings, underground services, and location equipment, the EUSR category 2 certification could be a game-changer for you.
This certification is particularly beneficial for managers, supervisors, safety professionals, and operatives who want to enhance their knowledge of potential hazards associated with underground services and learn how to operate detection devices safely.
By attaining this certification, you will be better equipped to mitigate the risks and ensure a safer working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
So, if you are looking to upskill and improve your knowledge in this area, this certification could be a great investment for you.
What is an EUSR Card?
Working in the fields of water, power, or gas may require you to hold an EUSR card, a specialised certification for utility workers. This card is an alternative to the CSCS card and is limited to those in the utility industry. It provides access to construction sites, but only for those who possess the necessary skills and qualifications to perform their job duties. Upon completion of the required training and meeting the criteria, individuals will be issued an EUSR card that will remain valid for three years.
How Long is a EUSR Card Valid?
The EUSR card is specifically designed to enable utility workers to perform their job duties effectively. On the other hand, the CSCS card is intended for construction workers who need to complete their tasks efficiently. It’s worth noting that CSCS cards remain valid for five years, while EUSR cards have varying validity periods depending on the courses taken, ranging from three to five years.
