What is an EUSR Card?
If you are considering a career in the water, power, or gas industries, keep in mind that you may need to obtain a specialised certification known as the EUSR card. This card is designed specifically for utility workers and serves as an alternative to the more general CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
Having an EUSR card grants you access to construction sites, but only if you have the necessary qualifications and skills to carry out your job responsibilities. It is important to note that this card is only issued to those who have completed the appropriate training and meet the necessary criteria. Once you have obtained your EUSR card, it will remain valid for three years.
Ultimately, obtaining an EUSR card is crucial to advancing your career in these industries and ensuring that you are qualified to perform your job duties safely and effectively.
How Long is a EUSR Card Valid?
The EUSR card is specifically designed to enable utility workers to perform their job duties effectively. On the other hand, the CSCS card is intended for construction workers who need to complete their tasks efficiently. It’s worth noting that CSCS cards remain valid for five years, while EUSR cards have varying validity periods depending on the courses taken, ranging from three to five years.
