EUSR SHEA Telecommunications

QST is one of the UK’s leading provider of EUSR SHEA Telecommunications courses, providing training on-site throughout the UK and at our training centre in the South West.

EUSR SHEA Telecommunications

The EUSR SHEA Telecommunications scheme is designed for personnel at all levels – it is a collection of 7 modules designed for anyone working on site within the telecommunications industry.

The course is suitable for Operatives, Supervisors and Managers alike.

OBJECTIVES:

In addition to the industry specific “Highway Working and Excavations” module, delegates will gain and consolidate sound knowledge of working safely through six ‘core’ inter-industry modules.

The course will deliver each unit within the context of the telecommunications industry.

DURATION:

This is a one-day course, run nationwide by our team of EUSR certified expert Tutors. Courses may be booked on site, or at our Training Hub depending on your preference.

EUSR SHEA TELECOMMUNICATIONS COURSE CONTENT:

  • Highway Working and ExcavationsThis module offers individuals an insight into the processes and procedures necessary for operating on highways. It emphasises the establishment of a safe working environment through the implementation of secure systems of work – including strategic planning and execution of responsibilities whilst working on a highway. Participants will also be equipped with the knowledge of appropriate actions to take in emergency situations.
  • Workplace Responsibilities This module aims to equip individuals with the foundational legalities, definitions, and their applications in the workplace. This includes responsibilities for both the individual (as an employee) and the employer.
  • Effects of Work on the Environment – This module aims to enhance comprehension of workplace environmental factors, such as environmental influence on employee health, as well as the consequences and considerations of work in relation to the surrounding environment.
  • Identify and Control Workplace Risks – This module assists individuals in recognising and managing risks and hazards. Additionally, delegates will understand their responsibilities; averting risks by adopting positive and proactive health and safety practices.
  • Common Workplace Hazards – This module helps individuals identify common physical hazards in the workplace and minimise the impact of these hazards – in accordance with the current CSCS requirements.
  • Workplace Health Hazards – This module defines ‘occupational health’ and aims to enhance delegate understanding of various hazards in the workplace. This module assists individuals in identifying, mitigating, and minimising incidents.
  • Responding to Emergency – This module is designed to improve understanding of emergency response behaviours – introducing the role of reporting, inspecting, and enforcing standards for the benefit of workplace health and safety. It also showcases how poor health and safety practices impact both employees and employers.
