IPAF is the industry leader in courses which provides delegates with the practical skills and knowledge to safely operate powered access equipment.
The operator course which includes both a practical session and has an assessment which covers two powered access categories. Mobile vertical 3a and Mobile Boom 3b. The International Powered Access Federation license is recognised all over the world.
OVERVIEW:
The 1 day course 3a and 3b course is designed for anyone who operates a mobile elevated work platform (MEWP). Delegates completing this course will comply with the law where duties are placed upon employers and employees.
IPAF Delegate Requirements:
No formal qualifications are required to undertake this course.
- Delegates will need to be physically Fit as there will be a practical whereby delegates will be operating the MEWP
- Have a level of literacy to enable them to understand safety notices and manufacturers instruction manuals.
- D. Photo ID. Eg. Driving license or Passport
For the practical session delegates will need: Safety Helmet (with a chin strap is preferable) Hi Viz jacket/Vest, Safety Footwear, Gloves, appropriate clothing (weather dependant) and full body restraint (harness and lanyard with short adjustable lanyard).
OBJECTIVES:
To prepare the delegate to be able to successfully operate 3a and 3b mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs).
DURATION:
This one-day course will be delivered by an IPAF accredited trainer.

The IPAF 3a & 3b operator course is based on 4 elements
