For delegates wishing to operate a forward tipping dumper on site but that have no experience, then the NPORS novice forward tipping dumper course is for you!
OBJECTIVES:
Quality Safety Training can carry out this N204 Novice Forward Tipping Dumper course which is validated by NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) at a location that is convenient to its clients.
The training for the NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper course will consist of both theory and practical training and will take place over 2 days with the test being on the third day.

What is the course content:
- How to operate a forward tipping dumper correctly
- Industry specific legislation and how it relates to operating a dumper
- How to shut down and secure the dumper at night
- How to attach mounted attachments

What is the exam:
The exam comes in two parts:
- Multiple choice theory test
- Practical assessment
Delegates must pass both exam elements to pass.
Certification / card:
The most widely accepted form of NPORS card for forward tipping dumper is the CSCS embossed card. This means that delegates must have an in date H,S&E test (no more than 2 years).
The red Trained Operator CSCS embossed NPORS card for Forward Tipping Dumper is valid for 2 years. Then delegates will need to achieve a pass in a level 2 NVQ in plant operations. Once this is complete then delegates will be eligible for a blue Competent Operator card that remains valid for 5 years.
Prerequisites:
Delegates must have an understanding of current health and safety practices as well as good spoken and written English, although translators can be used.
