SPA Petrol and Core – Refresher
Did you know you can now book the SPA Petrol and Core Refresher as an online course?
Quality Safety Training is proud to offer the SPA Petrol and Core refresher.
Designed for contractors already holding a valid Petrol Retail Safety Passport – this one day course can be completed online from your own workplace or home.
Please note – The refresher course must be completed in the 6 months leading up to your Safety Passport expiry. Once the passport has expired, you must attend the full 2 day Petrol Retail Contractors course in person.
Course Objectives:
– To refresh fundamental health and safety knowledge, and outline workplace responsibilities for working on a Petrol Station.
– To renew your understanding of hazard perception – and best practices when conducting risk assessments.
– Illustrate the role of personal behaviour in accident prevention.
Duration:
This is a one day course, focusing on the two key Petrol Retail Modules. Courses start at 9:00am and finish no later than 5:00pm.

- Restricted areas on a petrol forecourt

2. Controlling Work on a Forecourt

- Safety method statements
- Clearance certificates

Assessment / Certificate:
The course takes one day to complete, relying on group participation and discussion – as well as exam paper assessment. The SPA Petrol and Core Refresher can also be delivered online. We can deliver training either on location or at our own dedicated training centres.
Upon completion, delegates are issued an updated SPA Safety Passport photo ID card – valid for three years.

Grants:
You can claim grant funding for SPA Petrol Retail courses. At the time of writing, the grant available for these is £60 per delegate, but please check the CITB page for more information.
