The digital platform known as the Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) is a robust system that diligently maintains the professional training and competency records of individuals working in the energy and utilities sectors.  

Upon successful completion of EUSR training programs and assessments, industry experts have their accomplishments documented in their individual EUSR profile, which clearly outlines their expertise and certifications. Each individual’s EUSR record may contain multiple program registrations with varying expiration dates.  

Individuals who register with EUSR are issued a unique ID number and a photo ID card that displays their current authorisations and expiration dates.

Upon meeting the requirements and exceeding the stipulated benchmarks, participants will be bestowed with an EUSR card, which will remain valid for a duration of three years.

What is a Utility Excavation Cat 2 Card?  

If your line of work involves the management of water, power, or gas, then obtaining an EUSR card would be an essential step. This card is tailored to meet the specific needs of utility workers and serves as a credible alternative to the CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card. With an EUSR card, you will be granted access to construction sites, but this privilege is exclusively reserved for utility workers who possess the requisite skills and qualifications. The Utility Excavation cat 2 card is for implementing safe excavating practices anyone who holds aUtility Ecuvation Cat 2 card can safely work on site excavating, maintaining holes and trenches around utilities.  

How Long is a Utility Excavation Cat 2 Card Valid? 

Utility workers are able to execute their tasks with ease thanks to the specialised EUSR card, while construction workers require official consent to perform their duties on-site with the tailored CSCS card. The legitimacy of the CSCS card lasts five years, while the EUSR card’s endurance varies between three to five years depending on the completion of course modules. 

Once you have completed our Utility Excavation cat 2 training and met all the requirements, you will be issued an EUSR card that remains valid for a period of three years.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

This course can be combined with Category 1 to make a 1 1/2-day course. 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: 

Delegates must be able to read and understand English. 

GRANTS:

For CITB registered companies, £140pp grant can be claimed back on successful completion of the course.
